Ride in Kane

The Council considers public transportation an integral component of the total transportation system. The Regional Planning Liaison works closely with the regional service boards, specifically Pace, Metra, and the CTA, in their transit planning and project implementation processes. The Planning Liaison also staffs the Kane County Paratransit Coordinating Council (KCPCC).

Kane County 2040 Transit Plan

The Kane County 2040 Transit Plan is an integral component in the County’s long range comprehensive planning process. This study will identify existing transit conditions and document market potential, recommend transit improvements and identify funding strategies.
